We Did Our First Livestream! Here’s the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. In Podcast Form.

Have you ever wanted to livestream but were stopped from trying because you needed to buy expensive cameras and complicated software? That is no longer a problem.

Ward, Braden, and Drew helped at High Plains School for their outdoor concert on May 18. Since this was the school’s only performance this year, Mrs. Lemons wanted to livestream the event so as many families as possible could share in their student’s achievement. With two weeks’ notice we devised a setup that leveraged smartphones, free software, and a quality audio rig into live content the High Plains kids should be proud of.

In this podcast we outline the problem, theory, and solution. We will be using this as a starting point to develop simple and portable livestream product packages, so stay tuned!
